the idea of Yaz being taken out of commission and 13 and Dan having to work together solo is hilarious b/c they’re both idiot morons with a massive fight me complex except 13 is a terrifying eldritch horror who revels in the terror of her enemies and Dan is an annoyed scouse himbo with sarcasm and a wok.
i officially love dan. i know we all memed on him when it was revealed that we would not be getting our first all-female tardis team cast, but dan is the most companion ever. there is like, no point at which this man knows whats going on and yet hes doing so much for the show. he gets kidnapped immediately. he meets the doctor bc of his assigned dogman. hits a sontaran with a frying pan his parents gave him and immediately makes a pun about it. starts disappearing in front of the doctors eyes and doesnt even get an explanation. himbo. his entire house gets shrunk and people ask him about it. he’s like han solo but like, if han solo had no knowledge about anything that was ever happening there is literally nothing better or funnier than this man
